This week has seen a rather dramatic improvement in my main character. I finally hit level 53, although there was only a few percent left after my last huge grind sessions. I didn’t really feel like going at it again this week though, which kind of frees you up a little more in terms of activities as you don’t have to worry about exp loss.
I made a large push towards upgrading my gear which involved a lot boss scrolls, Guild bosses, and spending my meagre earnings on Black stones. I finally got my weapon to +15 after a few weeks sitting at 14, upgraded my armor a heap and am now sitting at 130 do which helps a lot I’m PvP situations. And added a couple new accessories and enchantments to the gear just to boost it that little bit further.
It all feels like rather small, incremental improvements overall but nice to have. And a little improvement is always nice to see. My next target is upgraded my weapon to at least blue quality, which is a little complicated – as everything is in Black Desert. You have to hire a weapon forge in Kaplan, and the specific one to the weapon you’re upgrading. Then you need weapon upgrade stones which I bought off the market, black dust and you’re weapon placed in the warehouse. A half an hour later you have your upgraded weapon, hopefully, although Rng does play a big part in all this. You can help it along with a worker high in luck though.
I’m also thinking I might have picked the wrong warmer as well, well not wrong for me, just not optimal. I like the Tamer as more of a front line harasser but for that evasion seems the best stat so I might be putting in a tariffs boot – for the boost instead of the heve I like the look of the Heve chest a lot more.
My production empire is coming along a little better now although, not as fast as others since I don’t micromanage it as heavily and have abysmal luck with hiring workers. I have each of the calpheon wood nodes connected and getting harvested now and a collection of alts chopping wood and moving around materials. It ends up making me a little over a million a day so far – that could be more if I invested more back into the business but.. Ehhh.. It’s something.
I’ve been a bit unlucky with mob drops this week. No good rings or trinkets or stones.. Nothing which has hurt my pocket book. I still have my lead ore and coal in one of the towns doing nothing that I’ll eventually have to do something with. Probably just to sell though. I have been making a little extra money on the side selling grunge gear. Found a good system with the conversation and van pull a few pieces out of him each night.
My latest big project has been taming, Leveling and breeding horses which has been a bit of fun and I have a nice collection now that may help me get to their 6, and beyond. I have had some great luck with getting female foals too, so much so that I’m more after high level males no to breed with as the one tier 4 I have is exhausted and I’d rather not waste a cash shop reset on him.
Now that the autonomy function is in it makes leveling these a lot easier. When I’m going to bed and work I just plop it on a loop with a lot of carrots in my bag and done. Occasionally I’m getting knocked off my route, or just do but mostly I’ve seen good progress with most of my horses in the low 20s. The hardest part has been organiser at which stables some are, and which all has which. Calpheon stable is just way too small to house them all so I just leave them active on each of the alts.
I just have to keep leveling them I think. ONe female is bred out but the others are ok and the higher I level the more of a chance for a possible tier 6. They are already over 20 but those last several levels take a long time.
For the week to come – I’ll probably be working on my contribution points and energy levels. THey are reasonably high at the moment 172/118, which is enough to do all I want but I need a few more to connect up nice nodes and stuff like that. Energy for crafting of course. There is a nice feature in game where you can see what knowledge you have in each specific area of interest and once you have filled in an entire circle you get the energy boost. The ones you haven’t found are question marked, although hovering over shows their name. A quick will later and it’s usually sorted. Takes a little to work on this but it seems a good idea in the end.
The contribution have just meant actually doing the quests in the various towns I come across, mostly in media but elsewhere as well. They are nothing overly special but it does tend to show you that the game does have more lore than it shows, and just more information to find about the various npc’s in each town. I’m not interested but it is there.
The rest is just the same comfortably monotony I now have organised well enough. It’s kind nice though.
