It’s been a rather busy time outside of the blog lately in terms of creating content. It’s rather nice to have these little side projects, especially YouTube as it’s creative in a different way and I think I’m finally getting the hang of it.
Definitely stay tuned in the new year as I have plans for more mmo video content. Reviews, impressions, and critiques will still be in writing here but other pieces of gameplay will be a YouTube thing. Stuff like playing through new DLC hopefully.
Anyway here’s the YouTube stuff I’ve completed lately.
There’s a video version of my Alternative MMO awards of 2016 post. Rather fun to voice my little obnoxious rants. Hearing myself swear is always funny =).
Finished up the Civilization 6 playthrough with France and Catherine de Medici. It was a series around aiming for the cultural victory which I didn’t think was going to happen but pulled through in the end. Tourism really ramps up in the modem age and beyond.
I ended up starting a Mordheim: city of the dammed series with the new Undead warband like I’ve wanted. Enjoy the theme and the strategy species but also the mechanics around failure like the ailments and injuries that affect your group. A few injuries in what I’ve played so far although but so far only two episodes up.
Still going with crosscode and mainly puzzling out the various environmental jumping puzzles in the Gaia’s garden area. It’s a massive zone overall so lots to explore. Beautiful area too.
There is more gameplay from Children of morta which is my favourite indie game atm. Have really high hopes for its release next year. For this vid I ended up going through the second area as Linda, the Archer/Bard character. Really enjoy playing this character and get very close to killing the boss.
